Erecting your shed
Foundations
Most sheds need a hard, level base, usually a concrete plinth (all-in ballast, cement and water) laid over hardcore. Smaller sheds can sit on concrete paving slabs, but these need to be laid on a hard, flat and stable base.
Assembly
Many sheds of varying sizes are prefabricated, and may be flat-packed for self-assembly by the purchaser. DIY enthusiasts should be able to prepare the base themselves, and then erect the shed from the kit.
Alternatively, many shed-manufacturers can erect the shed for you, or can recommend local contractors to do this. This service may even form part of the purchase price.
