Frequently Asked Questions
Please find below the answers to our most frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions, feedback or suggestions that are not listed, then do please contact us.
- When will my order be processed?
- All orders are usually processed the same day, or next working day if placed in the evening, weekend or a bank holiday. Once an order has been placed you will receive an order confirmation via email. All orders include VAT.
- When will my shed be delivered?
- Our wooden garden sheds are normally delivered flatpacked within 7-14 working days. Larger buildings such as Log Cabins may take up to 28 working days. Once your shed is ready to be delivered you will be notified. Please read our delivery information before contacting us. During busy periods and peak seasons these lead times may vary. Delivery lead-times are clearly outlined on each product page.
- Can I pick a delivery time slot for my shed?
- We offer a pick a day service on select products, allowing you to choose a day convenient to you. Otherwise it will be at the manufacturer's discretion, please ask this question when being contacted by our delivery team regarding a delivery date.
- Does someone need to be present to sign for the product on delivery?
- Ideally yes, to ensure the product arrives in good condition with no damages. The shed can be left without a signature if you email us with authority for the product to be left and that you accept liability.
- Do I need planning permission for a garden shed?
- Usually you do not need planning permission to erect a shed in your back garden. Please read our shed planning permission page for more information.
- Do I need planning permission for a log cabin?
- Usually you do not need planning permission to erect a log cabin on your property. Please read our log cabin planning permission page for more information.
- Are the shed windows and doors supplied with glazing?
- All our garden buildings are supplied with a styrene plastic glazing except for the our Log Cabin range which has glass glazing. You can also upgrade to double glazed windows if required.
- Does my shed come with a floor?
- All our wooden sheds come with a floor as standard. Some plastic sheds come with an easy grip floor. Most metal sheds do not come with a floor and must be anchored down to a flat solid base. Please check individual product pages and specifications for more information.
- What preparation do I have to do before building a shed?
- It is essential that all garden buildings are built on a firm and flat level base such as concrete slabs, solid concrete floor, or pressure treated bearers. A wooden portabase or plastic base is available to purchase with most of our garden buildings. Please check our bases section for more information. Please note that all bases are purchased as an additional option and are not included with our sheds.
- How many people does it take to build a garden shed?
- We recommend two people for small sheds. Please check the product details on the individual product pages for more information.
- Do your garden buildings come pre-treated?
- All our wooden buildings come pre-treated with (water based) base coat, apart from our log cabins, which are left untreated.
- Is wood treatment supplied with my shed order?
- No, it is recommended that you use a wood preservative prior to construction and re-apply every year or as and when required. We do not recommend varnish or creosol.
- I have a damaged shed, missing part, what do I do?
- If your shed arrives damaged or you have a missing part then please visit the after sales care page, please fill in your order number, supporting images and part number that you require. We can then ship out a spare part to you free of charge.
