Getting a shed can make all the difference to many gardens. It provides somewhere to use for storage to keep garden tools and assorted other items out of the elements.
But before you can enjoy using your new garden shed, you have to think about installation. This is where you have a choice: Do you install it yourself, or should you get someone else to do it for you?
Many people go for the DIY option, but this isn’t always practical. Most sheds require two people to get the job done, and you may not have anyone who can help. Furthermore, you still have to find the time to do it. Another reason some people don’t go for this option is because they aren’t confident in their DIY skills. You’d need a drill and the ability to read the instructions so you put all the pieces together in the right order.
What are the benefits of shed installation?
There are numerous benefits to bear in mind if you are giving this option serious consideration. For starters, you don’t get any of the hassle you’d have if you did it yourself. Furthermore, you will save time because you can be getting on with other things while the experts put your new shed together for you.
You’re also going to get a more professional finish. Don’t forget the installers will have extensive experience in putting together all manner of different shed designs. Unless you’ve put together dozens of them in your life, the chances are they’ll be ahead on expertise!
How does installation work?
It’s easy to make a request for installation at the time you order your shed. Some items will be delivered within a couple of days. Installation always happens within 21 working days after your order is placed, so you will always know exactly where you stand. You can also plan ahead to make sure you will be present on the day.
The reason we do this is because it gives you time to look over the panels and parts of your shed prior to installation taking place. If for any reason you are unsure about the shed, or you want to return it, you only have to call us within 14 days to arrange this, i.e. before installation takes place.
It also provides you with ample time to put the base of your shed in place ready for installation, if you have not already done so.
The great thing about installation with our team is that they will notify you ahead of time to let you know when they will be arriving. This will also give you an opportunity to bring up any questions you may have.
What happens once the shed has been built?
Once the construction process has been completed, you will have an opportunity to look over it and make sure you are completely happy with the result. No doubt you will be delighted at the outcome, especially as you haven’t had to supply any elbow grease yourself!
You won’t have to worry about getting rid of any rubbish either, since this is done by the delivery and installation team. You can get on with enjoying your new shed from the moment it is complete.
Don’t forget to add the wood treatment if applicable
In some cases, sheds are pre-treated in the factory and do not require any further treatment. On the other hand, it is possible to order wood stain with your new wooden shed at the time of ordering. In this case, the wood stain will be delivered at the same time as the shed itself.
It’s actually a lot of fun doing this part yourself, as it gives you a chance to personalise your new shed a little bit. You may decide not to request wood stain to be included with your order, especially if you want to see how it looks when constructed. You may then decide to get a colour that suits the surroundings… or to get something completely different such as a bright colour that will really stand out.
Would shed installation work for you?
As you can see, there are all kinds of benefits to opting for shed installation services. It is certainly reassuring to know you can get a garden shed without having to worry about when you can install it yourself, or whether you can get anyone to help you. It can be a tough job if you’re not used to this sort of thing, even though the pros make it look easy.
So if you want to save time and get the best possible result, consider opting for shed installation when you order your new garden shed. It could just be the best decision you make in this sense.
