Shed Installation Gallery

Our install team have been working extra hard this month as we move into peak season but have still managed to find some time to send us a few wonderful images of our customers new garden sheds so we can share them with you all. Check out a selection of our favourites below.

Adley Workshop Sheds: They may be new additions to Sheds.co.uk but Adley's new premium pent workshop sheds are proving to be a popular seller as the above images show. Both have been installed on slab bases are ideal places to use for hobbies as well as providing ample storage. The doors and windows can be fitted in multiple positions despite both of these customers opting for the doors to go on the left hand side.

The third image shows one of Adley's more traditional 8' x 10' workshops however this customer has opted for a more unusual brick base which is a little more time-consuming to put together but we think the end result is well worth the extra effort.

Adley Traditional Sheds: The above images show a small selectional overlap sheds. The first two are traditional apex sheds which thanks to their modular design enables the windows to be erected on either side and the door toucan be left or right opening. The 5' x 7' Overlap Apex has been pre painted by the customer leaving just the framing to be painted once our install team had finished. The 6' x 8' Overlap Apex features the extra wide single door to allow for easy access into the shed.

The next two images both show Adley's 8' x 6' Reverse Apex Overlap on wooden bases. Reverse apex's allow the shed to be accessed from the longer side and are great to use in gardens with limited space for access.

6' x 8' Base Choices: The most popular size of shed with our customers has always been the traditional 6' x 8' Apex models. However the type of base chosen varies from customer to customer. The three featured above have all chosen different options but are all equally fit for purpose. The first has chosen to double up their base by putting a wooden base on top of the slabbed surface below. This choice guarantees a level surface and isolates the shed from any contact with the ground. The second has chosen a concrete base which is the priciest but also the most long lasting option. The third has been a bit more creative by creating a set of slabbed steps up to a staggered slab base in order to counter the natural slope of their garden. This choice works really well in this type of garden and turns their shed in to a real focal feature of the garden.

Summer House Installation Gallery

With summer fast approaching it's unsurprising to find the level of our summerhouse sales are on the rise. With so many choices available we're expecting to receive some from fantastic images over the next few months. Here is a few of our favourites so far.

As you can see these customers have created some wonderful settings in their gardens for our summer houses. The first have created two pebble corner sections to perfectly frame the grass entrance. We're sure that once the weather improves and the new grass beds in it will look even better.

The Truro summerhouses has bi-folding doors making it the perfect building to have an outdoor bistro set like the one shown. The next images shows our standard Chelsea summerhouse on a large decking area, it fits perfectly into the corner and offers plenty of external space for additional furniture, planters etc. The Loxley features a curved pent roof for additional space. This customer has added a wide slabbed step to create an additional feature outside the summer house and allows the customer to get a little more creative with the external space.

Get Inspired

Every so often one of our lovely customers sends us some images of their completed garden building and this customer has truly excelled themselves and gotten really creative with their interior to completely transform their summer house.

Having started with our standard Adley 12' x 8' Cambridge Summer House With Side Shed the customer has then added vinyl timber effect flooring to the interior with additional bearers added to further strengthen the surface. Real timber boards have been added to one of the side walls creating a striking and classical feature. The customer has also added stain glass effect stickers to one of the windows and added a few little extras to the walls for further decoration. The painted interior and exterior give the building a much cleaner look and sense of classic style, the leather sofa is a fantastic choice and is perfect for their chosen design.

Log Cabin Installation Gallery

Installing an Adley 3.3m x 3.4m Newhaven Log Cabin with Veranda

Newhaven Log Cabin with Veranda Installation

We went along with one of our installation teams to see how they construct one of our most popular and affordable log cabins. The Adley 3.3m x 3.4m Newhaven Log Cabin with Veranda is manufactured from 19mm interlocking chalet style timber beams making it ideal for customers wanting a traditional looking log cabin but are on a tight budget.

As with all log cabin constructions this build started with the installation of a suitable base before our installation team arrives to put up the cabin. This customer used a slab base with an additional entrance feature at the front for added effect. This can be beneficial to keeping the entrance neat and tidy during wetter months. Our team also offers a Base Preparation Service if you do not have the ability to do so yourself as this customer did.

Once the installation team arrives they first lay out and fit together the floor bearers and put in place the first row of timbers. They then carefully construct the cabin row by row, incorporating the spaces for the windows and doors.

With all the sides assembled the team add the roof supports before adding the boards, felt and barge boards. The next job is to fit the windows and doors into place using the adjustable hinges provided to make sure the doors are level. These can be adjusted at any time if necessary. Finally the floor boards are added to the interior to finish the main cabin. Floor boards should always be done last to prevent them being scuffed or damaged during construction.

This version of the Newhaven includes an additional veranda which is installed last of all. The veranda is always a popular addition as as you can see from the final image it creates a more interesting, well framed log cabin.

With the installation finished all that's left for the customer to is treat and decorate the cabin in any way they wish to create their perfect garden building.

Bespoke Log Cabin Base

If you have a garden that requires a bespoke base for your garden building then our sales team can work alongside our installers to create the perfect option for your garden.

The above images show a customer who did just that. Our team worked with the customer to produce a custom timber base to create a level surface for his new log cabin to sit. As you can see by the images the build was a complete success and the building looks fantastic in its new location.

If you wish to discuss the option of having a custom base from Sheds.co.uk then please Contact Us today and get started on your new garden building.
