An essential part of the installation process is to ensure you have a good solid foundation for your new building, this will ensure you can enjoy your cabin for many years to come.
Here at Sheds.co.uk, we offer a “hassle free” shed base preparation service. This service will take the headache out of trying to prepare a base yourself.
Our service comes with a full pre consultation assessment phone call before your install takes place to ensure that you know exactly what is going to happen on the day of your install.
The consultation will talk through any issues that may concern you which include:
- Access to your property
- Types of slabs or concrete that will be used.
- Arrangements of slabs or concrete.
- Timescales of the preparation
- Any other questions.
You can choose from either a slabbed base or concrete base for your new building.
Slabbed Base
Our service includes:-
- Pre consultation & assessment phone call before your install.
- Turf cutting and basic site preparation.
- Standard style slabs included (Other styles available at an extra cost)
Both services normally take about a day to complete (weather permitting)
Important Please Note:
We cannot dispose of any excess soil or turf. The cost includes labour & materials and assumes that the proposed site for your garden building is essentially level. You will always receive a consultation & assessment phone call before your base install. If for any reason we are unable to conduct the install then a full refund will be given. It is essential for our team to have appropriate access to the area where your base will be constructed, this includes access for machinery or wheelbarrows. We only offer a base preparation for Mainland UK customers only. Please contact us for more information.
Delivery Information
We aim to deliver all products as soon as possible. Please check individual product pages for delivery lead times and services associated with each product in your order. Below is an outline of the services we offer on this product.
Standard Delivery
Lead times for our standard delivery service is stated at the top of this product page and may be extended depending on location and circumstances. Upgraded services may also result in a longer lead time. We always aim to meet these delivery times but during busy periods, deliveries may take a little longer, however we always work hard to keep delays to a minimum.
Log Cabins & Garden Rooms
Due to the large size of Log Cabins & Garden Rooms deliveries have to be made on larger vehicles. Log Cabins come flat packed and are delivered to the kerbside, driveway or front garden. Our delivery team will contact you via telephone to arrange a suitable delivery date. Don’t worry if you don’t hear from our team immediately, once your log cabin is manufactured and ready for delivery a member of the team will contact you.
Please Note: Deliveries of Log Cabins or large items may incur an additional delivery fee.
Installation Service
Installation is available on many of our products for most UK postcodes and the lead time is normally between 14-21 working days after your order has been delivered. This is to ensure that you have fully inspected the product and are happy to proceed. In busy periods this lead-time may increase. If installation is available it will be selectable in the 'Choose your options' section of this page.
Delivery FAQ
Do I need to be home for my Delivery?
Yes, all of our products require a signature as proof of delivery. If you are not happy with your delivery date then please contact before the day to make alternative arrangements.
Will I need to help my delivery driver?
Our drivers DO NOT need your help during a delivery. They will not ask for your help and they can manage all the items themselves. We are not insured to cover any customer injuries and therefore we ask you NOT to help or try and help our drivers while they make a delivery.
My house has a restricted access, what do I do?
Our drivers are only contracted to provide kerbside drop offs and deliveries. They will NOT bring any of our orders through your home. A driver may offer to take an order further; for instance a back garden but this is ONLY at their own discretion. If you have any questions about access or you live in a restricted access zone please contact us prior to ordering.
My Order Has Not Been Delivered, What Should I Do?
We deliver between 7am and 7pm. If your order has not been delivered when expected please click here.
Please Note: Additional items such as the plastic shed bases, security locks and shelving may be delivered separately on a different day to your main product. If you have ordered multiple products in one order then you are likely to receive multiple deliveries.
