Polycarbonate Greenhouses

Aluminium is naturally resistant to rust, making it well suited to outdoor greenhouse frames. Some models also feature a powder-coated finish, which provides a durable coloured finish and can help the greenhouse blend naturally into the garden.

Aluminium greenhouse frames are relatively low maintenance and don’t require the regular preservative treatments associated with timber. It’s still worth periodically cleaning the frame and glazing and checking doors, vents and fixings to make sure everything remains in good condition.

Yes, a greenhouse can be useful all year round, although what you can grow will depend on the season, temperature and individual plants. Greenhouses can help extend the growing season and provide additional protection during colder weather, but an unheated greenhouse will not remain warm throughout winter.

Choose a position that receives plenty of available sunlight and, where possible, is reasonably protected from strong winds. A sheltered spot with convenient access to water can make growing and maintaining your plants easier.

Yes. Good ventilation helps regulate temperature and humidity and provides fresh air for your plants. Many greenhouses include opening roof vents or windows, although the ventilation available varies between individual models.
