Base Preparation Service

The work included depends on the base option selected. The relevant labour & materials and ground preparation will be detailed on the individual service listing, so check the specification carefully before ordering.

The proposed site should be essentially level and meet the requirements stated for your chosen base service. Significant slopes or unsuitable ground conditions may require additional work before installation can take place.

Before installation, we’ll carry out a pre-installation assessment call to discuss the proposed site and explain the installation process. This helps make sure you understand the site requirements and what to expect when the team arrives.

A slabbed base uses individual paving slabs to create the foundation, while a concrete base creates a solid concrete foundation. The most appropriate option will depend on your garden building and its base specification, so check the individual service listings for further details.

Base preparation and installation are carried out weather permitting. If weather or ground conditions mean the work cannot be completed correctly or safely, the installation may need to be rearranged.
