Refund policy
Returns and Refunds Policy
This policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work for orders placed on Sheds.co.uk, which is operated by Sixty Stores Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 7741797, with its registered office at Sheds.co.uk, Langley Barn, 390 Birmingham Road, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 0RE. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 working days of the day on which you, or someone you nominate, receive the goods. Where your order is delivered in separate instalments on different days, the 14 working days run from the day you receive the final instalment. You may also cancel at any point between placing your order and receiving your goods.
To cancel, please send us a clear written statement of your decision by email to help@sixty.co.uk, quoting your order number. A cancellation by email takes effect on the day you send it, so an email sent by 23:59:59 on the final working day of the cancellation period will be accepted as valid.
Goods that cannot be cancelled
The right to cancel does not apply to bespoke goods or to goods made to measure or to your specification, including buildings supplied by Bards Bespoke Buildings. Cancellation of these orders is covered in the section on bespoke orders below.
Installation services
If you added our Home Installation Service to your order, you may cancel that service within 14 working days of the day your contract was formed. If you asked us to begin the installation within that period and then cancel, you will need to pay a proportionate amount for the work carried out up to the point you told us you were cancelling. Once the installation has been fully completed at your request, the right to cancel the service no longer applies.
Returning cancelled goods
When you cancel, we will arrange collection of the goods with the supplier, who will contact you directly to agree a date. You are responsible for making the goods available for collection and for taking reasonable care of them until they are collected. Please do not dispose of the goods or any part of them, as this will prevent us from issuing a full refund.
Your item must be returned to the pallet as it was originally delivered and placed in the same position where it was delivered. This is necessary to ensure that the collection driver can safely access, lift and remove the order using the appropriate equipment.
Please note that if, when the driver attends, the item is not secured to the pallet or is not in the required position, the collection may fail. Any applicable failed collection costs may then be passed on to you.
The cost of returning the goods is your responsibility and will be deducted from your refund. We will confirm this cost to you before collection takes place.
You may handle the goods as you would be able to in a shop in order to establish their nature and characteristics. If the goods have been assembled, treated, altered or handled beyond this, we may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value. If we issue a refund before we have received and inspected the goods and later find they have been handled excessively, we may charge you an appropriate sum.
Your refund when you cancel
We will refund the price you paid for the goods, together with the standard delivery charge you paid. If you selected a delivery option costing more than our standard delivery, we will only refund the cost of standard delivery. Any refund may be reduced by the cost of returning the goods, any reduction in their value as described above, and any proportionate charge for installation work already carried out.
We will issue your refund within 14 working days of the day we receive the goods back or the day you provide evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever is earlier. If the goods have not yet been delivered when you cancel, we will refund you within 14 working days of receiving your cancellation.
Damaged, faulty or missing items
Please check your goods thoroughly when they are delivered and before you begin construction. Any damaged or missing parts should be reported by email to help@sixty.co.uk within 14 working days of delivery, together with photographs of the goods, so that we can resolve the matter quickly. In most cases we will arrange for replacement parts to be sent to you. Reports made after this period may be more difficult for us to verify with the supplier, but this does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty or not as described.
What is not considered a fault
Timber is a natural material which absorbs moisture and expands and contracts with changes in temperature. Splits, cracks and knots falling out as a result of seasonal temperature changes or excess moisture are normal characteristics of timber and are not treated as faults.
We are also unable to accept claims for damage or deterioration caused by the goods not being built on a firm, solid and level base, not being constructed or installed in line with the manufacturer's instructions, or not being treated and maintained as set out in the manufacturer's care guide, including the preservative and waterproof treatments required for dip treated, pressure treated and untreated products. The same applies where the goods have been customised or modified, where the required 60cm clearance from walls, trees, shrubs and other buildings has not been maintained, where the goods have been used other than for domestic purposes, and to accidental damage, misuse or normal wear and tear.
Bespoke orders and cancellation after the cooling-off period
If you cancel an order after the cancellation period has ended, or cancel an order for bespoke or made to measure goods, you will remain liable for any work already completed and for any materials we have purchased for your order. We may also charge reasonable costs we have incurred as a result of the cancellation, including administration costs.
Orders for Bards Bespoke Buildings require at least 14 working days' notice of cancellation before the confirmed delivery date. Where less notice is given, 50% of the total order value will be retained.
Orders we cannot fulfil
If we are unable to accept or fulfil your order for any reason after taking payment, we will refund you in full as soon as possible and in any event within 14 working days.
Missed and failed deliveries
If you need to change your delivery date, please contact us before the scheduled day. If you do not, the delivery cost will be charged to you in full. Orders from Bards Bespoke Buildings require 14 working days' notice of any change to the delivery date.
If no one is available to receive your goods and they cannot be left in a safe place you have nominated, you will need to contact us to rearrange delivery. If delivery is not rearranged within 14 working days, the supplier will contact you to agree how to proceed. If they are unable to reach you or arrange redelivery, we will treat the order as cancelled and refund the price of the goods, but not the delivery charge, and we may deduct any reasonable additional costs incurred. This does not apply to bespoke goods, which cannot be treated as cancelled in this way and may incur additional costs.
Where delivery cannot take place because the address provided was incorrect or incomplete, or because there was insufficient safe access to the property, you will be charged the full cost of redelivery together with any reasonable additional costs.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are made using the same payment method you used to place your order. Once issued, a refund may take a few working days to appear in your account depending on your card provider or bank. If you purchased using a finance agreement, the refund will be paid to the finance provider, and you should contact them directly regarding any changes to your agreement.
