Installation Diaries - Garden Sheds

The Adley 6' x 8' Overlap Apex Shed is our most popular garden shed, no doubt because of it's ample size and fantastic price point. The above images depict both windowed and windowless versions of the double door model that have been installed by Adley's own installation team.

The customers have chosen to use different bases for their sheds, which is fine provided they are flat and installed correctly. All that's left for the customers to do now is give the sheds a quick coat of wood preservative and they will be all done.

Base Choices: The type of base chosen varies from customer to customer. The three featured above have all chosen different options but are all equally fit for purpose.

The first has chosen to double up their base by putting a wooden base on top of the slabbed surface below. This choice guarantees a level surface and isolates the shed from any contact with the ground.

The second has chosen a concrete base which is the priciest but also the most long lasting option.

The third has been a bit more creative by creating a set of slabbed steps up to a staggered slab base in order to counter the natural slope of their garden. This choice works really well in this type of garden and turns their shed in to a real focal feature of the garden.

Workshop Sheds: For those customers who need the extra space, workshop sheds are the perfect solution. These sheds provide greater storage space, better head space and are perfect for DIY, home business or other hobbies and interests that require you to have your own secluded space. Multiple windows, double door openings, extra security, skylights and potting benches add convenience, accessibility, light and reliability.

Adley's premium pent workshop sheds are proving to be a popular seller as the first two images above show. The doors and windows can be fitted in multiple positions despite both of these customers opting for the doors to go on the left hand side.

The third image shows one of Adley's more traditional 8' x 10' workshops however this customer has opted for a more unusual brick base which is a little more time-consuming to put together but we think the end result is well worth the extra effort.
