Garden Furniture

This depends on the material and individual product. Some outdoor furniture is designed to remain outside for extended periods, while other items or components may require covered storage during poor weather or over winter. Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.

The correct maintenance depends on the material. Wooden, metal and rattan-style furniture can all have different cleaning and treatment requirements, so follow the care guidance supplied with your particular outdoor garden furniture.

A suitable furniture cover can provide additional protection from dirt and the elements when your furniture isn’t being used. Make sure any cover is the correct size and suitable for the particular type of furniture.

A firm, level and stable surface is generally best for garden furniture. Patios and decking can provide a suitable base, while furniture placed on grass or uneven ground may be less stable. Check any specific positioning recommendations for your chosen set.

Allow enough room for people to comfortably use the furniture and move around it. Dining chairs need additional space to be pulled away from the table, while a garden sofa set should leave clear routes around the seating area.
