Playhouses

Most children’s playhouses require assembly and are supplied with instructions. The time and number of people required will depend on the size and complexity of the playhouse. Some products may also have an installation service available, so check the individual product page for details.

Many wooden playhouses can be painted or treated, giving you the opportunity to personalise the colour and make the playhouse your own. Always check the manufacturer’s care instructions before applying paint, stain or timber treatment.

Choose a flat, level area of the garden with enough space around the playhouse for children to access and use it comfortably. Ideally, position it somewhere that can be easily seen from the house or main garden area. Always check the individual product instructions for any specific base, positioning or safety clearance requirements.

Wooden playhouses may require periodic treatment to help protect the timber and keep it looking its best. Treatment and maintenance requirements vary between products depending on how the timber has been supplied, so always check the manufacturer’s instructions for your chosen playhouse.
